Presentation of Chirongui

The commune of Chirongui (8,920 inhabitants, 2,876 ha) is located in the south of the island, on the west coast. The coast is lined with a mangrove that extends from Poroani to Tsimkoura, thus sheltering a very rich ecosystem. Chirongui is composed of the following villages: Poroani, Miréréni (Mréréni Bé and Mréréni Kélé), Malamani, Mramadoudou, Chirongui-village, Tsimkoura.
