The gazetted Bagwere Cultural Institution (Obwa Ikumbania Bwa Bugwere) had a
flag of horizontal black, red, yellow, green stripes and in the center a white
disk with the arms:

This flag has 8 horizontal stripes
(black, red, yellow, green, black, red, yellow, green) and a different shape for
the white area containing the arms.
Could this be a personal flag for the
Ikumbania? In his son's (one of the claimants to the office of Ikumbania -AFAIK
the government of Uganda still has not gazetted the next Ikumbania) FB page he
gives his wishes for the Easter of 2023 using the "original" flag:

I think the reintroduction of the 2015 flag in 2023 may just be casual, but
nothing is certain. The emblem is slightly different on some flags, there are
the letters "BRK" in addition. Note that in "Obwa Ikumbania bwa Bugwere", bwa is
lower case. According to Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gwere_people),
Bugwere is land of the Bagwere (Gwere) speaking the Lugwere language, mostly in
Pallisa, Budaka, Kibuku and Butebo districts of the Eastern Region. Jean-Marc Merklin, 4 Sep 2023
