It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain blue field.

Coat of Arms

Shield Or with base wavy of Azure and Argent, on fess point a belfry Azure masoned Argent with bell Sable and bobbin Gules, flanked on either chief corner by a pine tree eradicated Vert. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "UNIÃO DAS FREGUESIAS DE VENDA DO PINHEIRO E SANTO ESTÊVÃO DAS GALÉS".
Meaning:
The golden background colour is taken from the arms of the former Venda do Pinheiro Commune. It is symbolising riches and in this case it stands for the valiant local people. The belfry is a representation of the parish church of Santo Estêvão das Galés, dedicated to St. Stephen. It is also a symbol of the cultural heritage. The name giving pines are representing Venda do Pinheiro. Its arms displayed just one tree. The base wavy is a representation of the local water courses, especially the Trancão River and the Lizandro River.

Venda do Pinheiro e Santo Estêvão das Galés is one of the five communes of Municipality created by a merger during the 2013 changes. It had 10 815 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 29,48 km².

Shield Or, in base a mountain issuant Vert crowned by a pine Vert and superimposed by a bar wavy Argent charged with a barrulet wavy Azure. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank)and white scroll with inscription in black initials: "VENDO DO PINHEIRO".
Meaning:
The pine (Portuguese: pinheiro) is a canting element. The base wavy is a representation of the Rivers Lizandro and Trancão.
