Shield Azure with base wavy of Argent and Azure, issuant from base wavy a throughout bridge Argent with one arch masoned Sable, on chief an impending belfry Argent with bell Or, flanked by two windmill wheels Or rigged Argent. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "UNIÃO DAS FREGUESIAS DE IGREJA NOVA E CHELEIROS".
Meaning:
Bridge and base wavy stand for the former Cheleiros Commune, belfry and vanes for the former Igreja Nova Commune.

Igreja Nova e Cheleiros is one of the five communes of Municipality created by a merger during the 2013 changes. It had 4693 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 37,07 km².

Igreja Nova was one of the 11 communes of Mafra Municipality affected by the 2013 changes. It had 3037 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 25,6 km².

Shield Argent with base wavy of Azure and Argent, a bridge issuant Sable masoned Argent with one Arch, in chief a fleur-de-lis Azure between two grapevines Purpure leaved Vert. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "CHELEIROS".
Meaning:
The bridge is representing the old local bridge of Roman origin. The base wavy is representing the little Lizandro River passing the commune. The grapevines are representing viticulture, a source of local wealth. The fleur-de-lis is an attribute of Our Lady of Assumption, the local patron saint.
