Description of the flag

From https://dothaneagle.com:

The Ozark city flag since 1999 was officially retired and the newly designed flag hoisted for the first time during the kickoff ceremony of the 18th Annual Crawdad Festival downtown Saturday. “Today is the formal date for the adoption of our new city flag,” said Harlow. “Let this new flag speak to not only our unique history and identity, but also serve as a symbol of hope, opportunity, and the transformative days ahead.”
The new flag features the new city seal prominently displayed on a white background. The statement around the seal reads “Heart of the Wiregrass,” which signifies the importance of the city of Ozark within the Wiregrass area and recognizes it as a pillar in the Wiregrass area community, Harlow said. “The symbol of the mighty oak tree, carried over from the previous flag, represents a rich heritage as depicted by its sturdiness and unseen roots, exemplifying the strength and stability of the community as well as a symbol of the growth and progress of the city of Ozark,” she added.
In what Blankenship calls “a remarkable demonstration of civic engagement and youthful initiative,” the three students proposed an updated design that better reflects our city’s evolving identity several years ago,” he said.

An AH-64 Apache helicopter is in the center of the seal. ‘This is an everyday sight in the Ozark sky and recognizes the important role that Ozark has played in the history of Army Aviation and a tribute to the veterans who have served.’
Also, the designers, “…Justin Moseley and Tucker Grantham, two of the flag’s three creators, came for the ceremony. Clark “Trey” Allen Buchannan III was unable to attend.” This shows that every city flag has some story to it, even white flags with seals like Ozark.
